Boston Celtics Victory Parade and Traffic Advisory





Celebrate the Champions!

The Boston Celtics are NBA Champions again! The city will host a rolling rally parade on Friday, June 21st, at 11:00 AM to celebrate the team's 18th championship title .

Parade Route:

  • The parade will begin at TD Garden on Causeway Street.
  • The celebratory duck boats will then travel down Causeway Street, passing by City Hall Plaza.
  • The parade will continue on Tremont Street by the Boston Common.
  • The celebration concludes on Boylston Street by the Hynes Convention Center.



Traffic Advisory:

Expect significant delays and road closures around the parade route throughout the morning.

We encourage you to:

  • Plan ahead: If you must drive, allow extra time for your commute and consider alternative routes.
  • Take public transportation: The MBTA will be operating on a regular schedule. Consider taking the T to avoid traffic congestion.
  • Walk or bike: If possible, walk or bike to your destination within the city center on Friday morning.

A heat wave is expected this week. Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen if you plan to attend the parade. City officials will share additional details about safety measures for the parade during a press conference today at 1:30 PM.
